i'm on the shuttle. this seems like the only time i ever have to just
sit and think about stuff. the movie was "don't say a word". i
gasped out loud and forgot i was on a plane wearing headphones.
hehe. it was a pretty good movie, actually. 3 stars.
michael has the bose noise-cancelling headphones, and i got to try them on. * w o w *. those are my next big purchase, for sure. three bills! but worth it, especially with the amount of flying we do. wow. amazing. too bad they are so large, but hey, whatever it takes.
i created an excel spreadsheet with my schedule when i go home (i am in between pda's), and i'm almost totally booked solid. if you haven't already confirmed with a time slot, please email me asap. :) among seeing all of the friends and family that i haven't seen in a long time, it's my mom's birthday, mother's day, and my sister's birthday. i'm also seeing the knee doctor and the nutritionist.
some of my new favorite mp3's:

woah, nelly. i just managed to refuse the ice cream offer. da-zam!
i haven't *not* had the ice cream (assuming i'm awake) ever! that was
so hard. he said, "would you like some ice cream?" i was cringing
before he even asked b/c i knew what he was going to say. i think he
thought i was in some sort of pain. i was cringing and shook my head.
"uh... no ice cream?" grrrr... i shook my head more vehemently. "ice
cream with strawberries, chocolate, and nuts?" i think i wasn't
getting my point across. through gritted teeth, i managed to mumble,
"no, thanks." whew. i think i'll be ok. since i am going straight to
my mom's bday dinner when i get into sfo, i have to resist another ice
cream opportunity later tonight. oh, i forgot all about the warm
chocolate chip cookies they hand out on this flight later too.
criznap.
my battery is not going to last the flight. so i'll probably sleep. :)
oh, did i mention my driver rocks? if you need transportation in detroit, his company is called "to & from transport" and the number is 866.251.7433. tell jay that jenny sent you. ;) he's got some good parott jokes, and he's driven nsync around! :D

so for the past couple of days, we had 5 extra people in town for a
big presentation (michael compton, q, jason dowd, shaun granato, and
matt cass). on monday night, they were hurting pretty bad. here's q
falling asleep on the train (ubahn) on the way back from dinner
downtown @ amici (really nice/yummy/expensive italian restaurant near
the hauptbanhof - beware of slow service).
tuesday, we never left the hotel complex. there are 18 bars and restaurants in the hotel! (yes, i have been there too long - i think i can even name them all.) we started outside the dubliner (the irish pub) while it was still nice outside and had some of their awesome pommes frites (french fries) before we headed to dinner.
then we did a typical german meal with sausage, saurkraut, maultaschen (swabian ravioli), pork chops, steaks, etc. @ the hausbrauerei.
after dinner, we went back to the dubliner (we seem to end up there a lot - wassup duffy). every night at 9:30pm, some irish guy starts singing the same repretoire which includes john denver's country roads, american pie, and some irish song that requires everyone to hit the table really hard. don't ask. anyway, someone put down 20 big ones if shaun would get up on stage and sing a little diddy. he did better than that - he sang 3 songs! and got a 4 euro tip from the old couple sitting next to us. :)
